The collection draws from the four albums originally released on EMI’s Harvest and EMI imprints between 1975 and 1981 and also includes some live recordings made in Paris in July 1978. The anthology features a limited edition slipcase and lavish booklet with new essay. Tales of Taliesin is a fine overview of an often criminally neglected era of Soft Machine’s illustrious career.
