In 1999, while still in high school, Trapt were playing clubs with fellow Nor Cal rockers Papa Roach and still continue to share the stage with them and other top acts across the country. Not long after those High School gigs the band was signed and in Nov 2002 Warner Bros released the self titled “Trapt” which included the mega-hit single Headstrong which climbed to #1 at Rock formats and #4 on Pop. Headstrong has also been rated by Billboard as the #1 alternative song of the decade and #8 rock song of the decade. Trapt’s previous hit singles still receive over 600 combined recurrent spins weekly! 10 years and five albums later Trapt have recorded what vocalist Chris Taylor Brown believes to be the best songs he’s ever written.
