Singer/songwriter Devendra Banhart is set to release his eighth studio album and Nonesuch debut Mala. Mala was co-produced by Devendra and his long-time band mate, guitarist Noah Georgeson. Mala, was recorded in his then-home in Los Angeles; it displays Devendra's and Georgeson's musician ability, as they played most of the instruments on the album themselves, using borrowed equipment and a vintage Tascam recorder they'd found in a pawn shop.
