The first ever DVD to feature one of the great all-girl groups of the 1980's - The Belle Stars. The Belle Stars were an all-female British pop group of the early '80s that split off from the Bodysnatchers. They were one of the first all-girl line up’s to play their instruments and write their own songs, and paved the way for groups such as Bananarama to follow. The lineup was Sarah-Jane Owen (guitar), Miranda Joyce (saxophone), Judy Parsons (drums), and Jennie McKeown (bass). The band recorded for legendary UK Indie label Stiff Records and they scored four U.K. Top 40 hits between 1982 and 1983 before splitting up.
The DVD features a full show the band played in London at the height of their early 1980's chart success. Amongst the tracks featured are the UK top ten hit "Sign Of The Times" and the top fifty hits "Mockingbird", "Sweet Memory" and "The Clapping Song".
