Director Mako
Funasaka’s insightful film on the life and times of Guitar Legend
MEL BROWN includes Live Concert footage featuring Mel and his super
tight band The Homewreckers, studio recordings showing the W.C.
Handy Blues Award winner at work and rare interviews that trace Mel
Brown’s life from his childhood in Mississippi, through his
incredible career as one of Blues Music’s True Masters.
The
Mel Brown DVD was shot over a three year period while Mel recorded
his latest CD, "Blues...A Beautiful Thing". However, this is not a
DVD documenting the studio sessions from his latest CD - rather, it
is a glimpse into the life and times of Mel Brown, the musician and
the man.
“True Genius... Mel Brown has captured the blues
life in all it's pain, sadness and eloquence”.
