Carole King and Gerry Goffin meet eachother during their studies and their mutiual compassion for music results that they later will start writing songs. From this cooperation one of the greatest songwiters duo's arose. Through her collaboration with Bob Dylan, Donovan, Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger the unmistakable sound of Carole King was discovered. There after Carole King's solo career came off the ground and she started to work on her first solo album "Writer'' that was released in 1970. The live recordings of this DVD are from this beginning period 1971..
