4,500 fans were pretty surprised when Howard Jones played a gig in Salt Lake City as part of his 1996 World Tour. He became famous in the eighties as a synthie-popper, but here he played an acoustic concert, accompanied by Carol Steele (backing vocals, percussion). Howard Jones proved himself on the grand piano and played improvisations of the well-known tunes including New Song (#3 UK Charts), What Is Love (#2), Hide And Seek (#12), Pearl In The Shell (#7), Like To Get To Know You Well (#4), Things Can Only Get Better (#6), Life In One Day (#14) and No One Is To Blame (#14) to name but a few.
