1984 - 2000
April 1984 was a
significant period for many Deep Purple loyalists with the
"Reformation announcement" for the classic MK2 line-up of
Blackmore/Gillan/Glover/Lord/Paice.
A brand new album
(Perfect Stranger's) and sell-out world tour re-cementing
their place in the rock 'n' roll limelight.
Anyone
familiar with the band's "see-saw" history of change's from
1968 to '76 were none too surprised when a similar pattern
emerged during the next two decades.
Now, happily
established with the MK7 Steve Morse incarnate, this DVD
brings together for the first time, footage spanning those
tumultuous 16 years.
From the original '84 promo clips
(and some) through to their prestigious Montreux 2000
appearance, it's all here, many unseen before and exclusive to
this release.
