Larry Coryell is one of the world's acknowledged guitar masters. He has recorded more than 70 albums over the past 35 years as a bandleader, soloist and 'featured accompanist'. Hailed by his legion of fans as one of "the guitar gods" in the late 1970s and as a "truly Renaissance musician who excels at all styles of playing", he has also been christened as "a true pioneer of rock-jazz fusion" by the New York Times.
Coryell bought a whole new style to Jazz Guitar playing in the 1960’s – beginning his musical career as part of the Chico Hamilton band, and went on to play with the likes of Gary Burton, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. In the 1970’s Coryell formed his own combo – Eleventh House – and recorded some of his most impressive and popular material. Larry Coryell remains a foremost music performer – touring the world in 2007 with his band.
