Hailing from Scotland, The Almighty formed in 1988, having come together from a punk background with Ricky Warwick of New Model Army at the forefront the group. Following the dissolution of NMA, The Almighty moved onto a more metal sound in the interests of keeping with the times. 2000 saw them releasing new material, shortly to disband again - and then reform once more in 2006.
