For over thirty years, master drummer Al Foster has been hugely influential in the jazz world. Foster is also respected and admired for his keen sensitivity. A great believer in the purity of the music, Foster is a genuine artist who continues to push the boundaries of creativity again and again, devoted to preserving and perpetuating the highest standards in jazz today. He is a magnificent all-round drummer, and his rhythmic chops are renowned in musical styles ranging from bebop and free form to jazz/rock. This DVD shows the July 2007 concert filmed at the New Morning in Paris, where he recorded and toured with his Quintet featuring pianists Aron Goldberg & George Callaghan, sax Eli Degibri, bassist Doug Weiss & trumpet player Dr Eddie Henderson.
