"This Is Gonna Hurt" is the follow up to the 2007 debut "The Heroin Diaries", a soundtrack to the book of the same title written by Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx. This album will be accompanying Sixx’s second book “This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx”, a collection of journal entries and photography. Although the CD and book are parts of the same project, Nikki Sixx claims that “they fit together like a nice little puzzle yet somehow feel like the pieces were cut out of flesh with a razorblade. What I find interesting is that as much as I want them to mirror each other, they both stand on their own.” If you were a fan of “The Heroin Diaries”, then this second album from “Sixx: AM” is for you as it documents more experiences from the Hard Rock star with equal amount of ferocity.
