That was just the beginning. The year that followed was out of the storybooks. The album Come Away With Me, buoyed by her hit singles Don’t Know Why and Come Away With Me has sold over 4 million units in the U.S. alone and has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. And in 2003 Norah hit the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart for three consecutive weeks. After sharing the bill with the likes of John Mayer, Willie Nelson and Dave Matthews, Norah’s own shows were an immediate sensation and her fans fell in love with these intimate performances as quickly as they had with her album. In August 2002, Norah Jones performed in front of a sell-out crowd at the House of Blues, captured here on her first DVD release Live In New Orleans. Live In New Orleans features ten tracks from Come Away With Me as well as the covers Comes Love and Bessie Smith(The Band).
