Originally released in 1980 Dakota’s debut is a superb slice of the typically early 80s west coast AOR with some classic AOR influences. Signed to Columbia they scored a minor hit with the opener “If It Takes All Night” and toured with Queen in support of their “The Game” album through the US, but they couldn’t break into the big league. What a pity, as tracks as “If It Takes All Night”, “Crazy For Your Love”, “One Step”, “Lady” or “Restless are the perfect fodder for fans of early Toto and classic AOR lovers, too.
