Sound City is a documentary film directed by Dave Grohl about the history of Los Angeles recording studio Sound City Studios. The soundtrack showcases Grohl's collaborations in new recordings with artists who had recorded at Sound City Studios during it's tenure. The first cut to be released from Sound City: Real to Reel is the Paul McCartney helmed "Nirvana reunion" song premiered at #121212; "Cut Me Some Slack."
