A prodigiously talented singer and songwriter, Todd Rundgren started his career as a musician in 1967, when he formed The Nazz with friend Carsten Van Osten. During more than 35 years Todd Rundgren has has been amazingly prolific as a writer, recording artist, performer, producer, engineer, and innovator. "Live In Columbus, Ohio 1980" is the first DVD release in what promises the be a great series of titles. The show features three different sets; the first set draws heavily from the 1980 album "Adventures In Utopia" and the preceeding 1977 Utopia album "Oops! Wrong Planet." The second set is an eclectic mixture of great album tracks including songs from "Adventures In Utopia", from the Todd Rungren albums "Hermit Of Mink Hollow" and "Back To The Bars", a medley of "It Wouldn't Have Any Difference"/"Can We Still Be Friends"/"Hello It's Me" as well as songs from both Roger Powell ("Sands Of Arrakis") and Kasim Sulton ("Don't Hold Me Back") albums. The third and final set features music from Todd's seminal albums "Something/Anything?" and "A Wizard, A True Star" as well as songs from the Utopia albums "RA" and again "Adventures In Utopia". The show ends with a great rendition of "Just One Victory".
