Masterclass with Dave Liebman features a performance with The Dave Liebman Quartet as well as his unique perspectives on achieving a personal saxophone sound, approaching rhythm, improvising, and structuring practice to maximize potential.

Dave Liebman is known as one of the top saxophonists in our time with a reputation for independence and the ability to perform in a wide variety of musical settings. As a sideman he established himself in the 1970's playing and recording with Miles Davis and Elvin Jones.

In addition to his performing career Liebman is widely recognized as a prolific author and educator having written several books, numerous articles for periodicals, published instructional DVD's and play alongs. Among the best known are A Chromatic Approach to Jazz Melody and Harmony, Developing a Personal Saxophone Sound, and Self Portrait of a Jazz Artist. He is the founder and Artistic Director of The International Association of Schools of Jazz, a multiple Grammy nominee and recipient of several grants and awards including the IAJE Hall of Fame.
