The Cherry Bombz grew out of the Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks with vocalist Anita Chellemah, formerly of Toto Cuelo, and former Sham 69 and Lords Of The New Church bassist Dave Tregunna. The band lasted just over a year although during that time they released a couple of singles and a live album recorded at the Marquee, Hanoi Rocks eventually reformed in 2002 with Andy McCoy and Mike Monroe being the only members from the original band.
