With their formal dress suits and elegant manner, the gospel vocal band The Cathedrals (Scott Fowler, Ernie Haase, Danny Koker, George Younce, Glen Payne, Roger Bennett and Bobby Clark) immediately suggested a group of the finest conservative southern gentleman - an image that, when coupled with their vocal stylings, helped them garner a considerable evangelical fanbase. The outfit launched itself on Rex Humbard's Cathedral of Tomorrow program in the 1960s, and followed it up with live appearances and occasional albums. In the music release The Cathedrals: Travelin' Live - shot in 1986 - the band performs a worship set of 11 numbers before an audience at the Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
