The five Osmond Brothers - Alan, Little Jimmy, Wayne, Jay and Merrill, joined in time by younger brother Donny and younger sister Marie - became a nationwide sensation in the early seventies (on the heels of similar family acts such as The Cowsills, The Jackson 5, and television's apocryphal Partridge Family), thanks largely to the efforts of television host and crooner Andy Williams, who featured them on his variety show. The group cultivated a brand of AM-friendly bubblegum pop, exemplified by their hits "One Bad Apple," "Yo-Yo," "Down by the Lazy River," "Crazy Horses" and "Hold Her Tight." The Osmonds appear in a live 1972 onstage performance in the home release The Osmonds Live. Featured here are ten numbers delivered before an enthusiastic audience, featuring snappy choreography and The Osmonds' trademark costumes.
