The favourite son of Texas, the late great DOUG SAHM recorded Hell of a Spell at the end of the seventies, and was originally released in the UK on CHRYSALIS RECORDS trying to ride the then New Wave scene. In the early eighties with the legendary QUINTET we present here a live set including their first big hit She’s About a Mover. Disc 2 – a bonus disc, presents DOUG’s late fifties and early sixties recordings along with a selection of recordings by his Texas heros FREDDIE FENDER (later to join DOUG as a TEXAS TORNADO), ERNEST TUBB, and T BONE WALKER.
