What a year it has been for Emeli Sandé - her debut album Our Version Of Events was released last February in the UK where it debuted at #1 - knocking off Lana Del Rey (who had just knocked an artist named Adele from her hold on the #1 spot...). Our Version Of Events went on to become the Top Selling Album of the year in the UK, selling over 1 MILLION copies in the UK (and the only album to sell over 1M), never leaving the Top Ten Album Chart. Emeli was named the Critics Choice at the BRIT awards 2012, and performed at BOTH the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games, and also found the time to impress Simon Cowell, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Adele, and virtually every member of the press who reviewed the album. The high point of her whirlwind year however was undoubtedly her triumphant performance at the most distinguished venue in London: the Royal Albert Hall - which was filmed for this release.Emeli Sandé will be touring North America in early 2013 - with National US television appearances being confirmed for Late January & early February, and loads of synchs cleared for this market - you can expect to hear a lot more about Emeli Sandé in 2013!
